Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the assassination of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would “end the conflict” between the two countries.

“It will not escalate the conflict, it will end it,” Netanyahu said in an interview with ABC News when asked if US President Donald Trump had vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Khamenei due to concerns that it would intensify the confrontation with Tehran.

“Eternal war is what Iran wants, and they are leading us to the brink of nuclear war,” Netanyahu said. “In fact, what Israel is doing is preventing that, putting an end to this aggression. We can only do that by standing up to the forces of evil.” | BGNES
