Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that Serbia has managed to achieve a new suspension of sanctions against the Serbian oil industry (NIS). This time the deadline has been extended by two months - until 27 June.

"Good news for the citizens of Serbia. Serbia has managed to get a new postponement of sanctions on NIS, this time for two months, until 27 June. Thank you to our American partners for understanding Serbia's position," Vucic wrote on his Instagram account.

On April 23, NIS submitted a new request to the US Treasury for a special license that would postpone the full implementation of the sanctions, the aim being to allow the company to continue operating beyond April 28, which is the deadline set by the license issued on March 28. | BGNES
