Sophie Turner: Kissing Kit Harington Was Disgusting

During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on August 14, the 29-year-old Turner revealed that, as a producer of the film, she was the one who suggested Harington for the lead male role.

Sophie Turner admitted that kissing Kit Harington on the set of their new film was “disgusting” because of the close bond they had developed while playing brother and sister in Game of Thrones, The Independent reported.

The two actors star together in the gothic horror The Dreadful, set in the 15th century during the Wars of the Roses. During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on August 14, the 29-year-old Turner revealed that, as a producer of the film, she was the one who suggested Harington for the lead male role.

“I sent him the script and he texted me back: ‘Yeah, I’d like to, but it’s going to be really weird, Sophie.’ At first, I didn’t understand why. Then I started reading: ‘Kiss, kiss, sex, kiss…’ And I thought: ‘Oh God, that’s my brother,’” the actress recounted.

Despite their initial hesitation, the two decided the script was too good to turn down. “We tried to block it out of our minds, but when the first kissing scene came, we were literally gagging. It was awful, the worst,” Turner admitted.

The Dreadful, which does not yet have a release date, follows the story of Anne (Turner) and her mother-in-law Morwen (Marcia Gay Harden), whose lives are upended when a man from their past (Harington) returns.

Earlier this month, Turner again made headlines after sharply responding to a critic on Instagram who accused her of “forgetting” about her two children because she had posted photos from an Oasis concert.

“Oh, I’m sorry, sometimes I forget that there are people who can’t think for themselves. So… there’s this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, the kids were with their father that day,” wrote the actress, who shares two daughters with her ex-husband Joe Jonas. |BGNES
