Democratic Bulgaria will not support the vote of no confidence tabled by Revival because “this is the last attempt to prevent Bulgaria from joining the eurozone”, BGNES reports.
Regarding the proceedings in “We Continue the Change,” (PP) a new coalition council was convened yesterday, at which DB expressed its concerns about everything that has been happening in recent days, including the mayor corruption scandal and former PM Kiril Petkov’s resignation that followed.
“Our colleagues promised to take very decisive measures and present a plan. They will conduct checks on all mayors and deputy mayors on how public procurement has been carried out,” said MP Ivaylo Mirchev, adding that they expect this plan to be provided to them so that they can continue their work.
“What has happened in recent days is a very, very serious blow to our coalition,” Mirchev emphasized.
When asked what deadline the DB is giving the PP for these changes, he replied: “They themselves set their forum in September. This is an adequate time frame for this analysis to be carried out.”
Mirchev also commented on yesterday's statement by MP Toshko Yordanov about the medics as “extremely undignified.”
“This is a shame for every member of parliament, and when they say that parliament has a very low rating, it is because of such examples,” he added.
Atanas Atanasov said that Toshko Yordanov's apology was not enough and that he must find a way to take responsibility.
"It is no coincidence that people on social media are calling for him to resign, which would be a reciprocal action on his part, if he has the courage. We want him to resign. I am sincerely outraged. Treating doctors this way is absurd," Atanasov added.
Yesterday MP Toshko Yordanov caused a scandal by saying young doctors, who are currently protesting due to low pay, should “go work in Italian villages” while Bulgaria will be bringing in “foreign specialists to work for a salary of 500 leva”.
A trainee cannot earn more than the specialist who is training them, said the chairman of the parliamentary group “There Are Such People.”
Today Mirchev stressed that the schemes in healthcare must be stopped so that more money remains for doctors. | BGNES
