Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a speech on the occasion of the 954th anniversary of the victory at Manzikert in the district of Ahlat, Bitlis.
"We will continue to move confidently toward the goal of a Turkey without terror, which irritates and worries our enemies, with firm steps and knowing what we want. Together, we will build a bright Turkey, at the center of which will reign tranquility, peace, and love, without compromising the legacy of our martyrs and ghazis," Erdogan said.
Expressing his gratitude to all martyrs and ghazis, "from the victory at Manzikert to the battle of Chaldiran, and from the war of independence to the victory of July 15, who sacrificed their lives and blood for their homeland, for the crescent moon and for the independence and future of the nation," President Erdogan emphasized that they "will continue to defend Turkey, the legacy of the martyrs, the eternal state, and the values for which the martyrs sacrificed their lives, until their last breath."
"We hope that the century we live in will go down in history as the century of Turkey. We will never succumb to anyone's games or fall into traps on the path we have chosen for a much more effective, much more respected, and much more prosperous Turkey," he said. | BGNES
