Inter Miami with Lionel Messi in the squad was eliminated in the semi-finals of the Champions Cup tournament. The team from Florida suffered a second defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps - this time 1:3, and left the competition with an aggregate score of 1:5.

The start for Inter was strong after Jordi Alba opened the scoring after an assist from Luis Suarez in the 9th minute. After the break, however, the guests made a complete turnaround within 120 seconds through Brian White and Pedro Vite, before Sebastian Berhalter put an end to the dispute with a third goal in the 71st minute.

Messi played the whole match, but was unable to help his team.
