Election day has started in Albania, according to BGNES.
Polling stations opened at 7 a.m. local time (8 a.m. Bulgarian time). Voting will continue until 7 p.m. local time (8 p.m. Bulgarian time) in 5,225 polling stations. Over 3.7 million Albanians are eligible to vote.
For the first time, nearly 246,000 registered citizens abroad can also vote by mail.
The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will deploy about 100 observers for the elections. | BGNES
