A false bomb threat was reported today at the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (RS, the Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina), BGNES reported.
The search of the parliament building has concluded and deputies are now entering freely.
Although it was announced after the bomb report, received at 10:07 local time, that the session would begin at 11:30, this did not happen.
On the eve of the start of the extraordinary session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, an anonymous tip was received about a bomb placed in the parliament building.
Following the alert, deputies, ministers who have resigned, journalists, and staff left the National Assembly building.
The National Assembly of Republika Srpska will consider at an extraordinary session the adoption of a decision to call a referendum regarding the decisions of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Central Election Commission issued to the ousted president Milorad Dodik.
Deputies will be informed about the decision of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the decision of the CEC to terminate Dodik’s mandate, as well as about the position of the National Assembly regarding the future activities of the institutions of Republika Srpska.
Also on the agenda is the acceptance of the resignation of the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković.
Deputies will also be presented with the Draft Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on the Referendum and Civic Initiative under an urgent procedure. | BGNES
