Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will be in Istanbul on June 21-22 on the sidelines of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers' meeting, ERT reported.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to deliver a speech at the summit titled "The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in a Changing World".
The summit, which will be chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, is expected to be attended by around 1,000 guests from the 57 member states of the Organisation, as well as from organisations affiliated to the Organisation, observer states and other international organisations.
According to Turkish diplomatic sources, a special session on the war between Israel and Iran will be held during the summit. At the end of the summit, the approval of the "Istanbul Declaration" and the draft decisions included in the OIC agenda are expected, with Gaza and the Palestinian issue being the main topic. | BGNES
