Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that he had a “long and cordial” conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Vucic said that during the conversation, bilateral relations were discussed and it was agreed to further deepen economic cooperation and participate in joint projects. At the same time, he specified, the political situation was also analyzed, and opportunities for improving communication and cooperation in various international forums, organizations and institutions were considered.

“The situation in the region was also discussed, primarily in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the crisis provoked from outside, with systematic attacks against Republika Srpska,” the Serbian president said.

Vučić stressed that he had also briefed the Russian Foreign Minister on the internal situation in Serbia, "especially regarding the situation in Kosovo and the attempts to constantly pressure and expel our population from its centuries-old hearths, as well as the silence of the majority of the international community."
