President Alexander Lukashenko said Belarus and China faced pressure from the West as he met Xi Jinping in Beijing.
According to the Belarusian state news agency Belta, Lukashenko told his Chinese counterpart that their nations faced "unprecedented pressure" from the West.
"China will not allow the world order to be disturbed. Many, many nations are convinced of this," Lukashenko added, as quoted by AFP.
The Belarusian leader, who won a seventh consecutive term in January after a widely criticised election, has ruled the country for more than 30 years.
He is in China this week on a three-day state visit, having last visited in December 2023.
Xi told Lukashenko that China "has always viewed and developed its relations with Belarus from a strategic and long-term perspective."
Xi added that China "is willing to work with Belarus to promote stable and comprehensive bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation." | BGNES
