"I don't know," Trump replied when NBC News anchor Kristen Welker asked him directly if he believed he should abide by the country's supreme law, according to excerpts from the interview to be broadcast later today, AFP reported.
When asked specifically whether American citizens and non-citizens have the right to a fair trial, as stated in the US Constitution, Trump replied, "I don't know, I'm not a lawyer."
Trump also said he was not seriously considering running for a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution, after publicly musing about the idea.
"It's not something I want to do," he said, adding:
"I want to have four great years and then hand it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, a great Republican who will continue my work." | BGNES
