51 years later Bologna is again in the Coppa Italia final

They will meet Milan in the final at the Olimpico on May 14.

Bologna is the second finalist in this year's edition of the Coppa Italia. The team defeated Empoli again, this time 2:1 at home, and thus with an aggregate score of 5:1 from the two matches progressed to the dispute for the trophy, where they will meet Milan.

Giovanni Fabian gave the hosts an early lead, before Viktor Kovalenko restored parity in the 33rd minute. Shortly before the end of regular time, however, Bologna achieved another victory after the precise intervention of Thijs Dalinga.

Thus, Bologna will compete for a third cup in the showcase. The team last triumphed in the competition in the distant 1974.
