Ballon d'Or winner Rodri is fit to play, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed in his press conference ahead of the Premier League second-round clash with Tottenham.
The Spanish midfielder has been nursing an injury sustained at the Club World Cup after missing most of last season in England with a serious knee injury.
"Rodri and Phil Foden, the last game they were absent because they didn't have enough training and rhythm. They couldn't play 90 minutes against Wolverhampton, but they were ready and they are ready for tomorrow. Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol and Savinho are the only ones who are out", Guardiola said and added regarding Rodri:
"I just want consistency from Rodri, that's it. I have no doubts about his potential, his quality. He is still the best player in the world. In a few months they will choose a new one, but he is still the best".
