The Israeli government announced that it had accepted the US proposal for a “bilateral ceasefire” with Tehran, stressing that it had achieved “all the objectives” of the war that began on June 13 against Iran.
Thanks to this war, Israel “eliminated a double immediate threat to its existence: nuclear and ballistic,” said a statement from the Israeli government quoted by AFP.
The government also thanked US President Donald Trump and the United States for their support in the field of defense and for their participation in eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat.
“Israel will respond forcefully to any violation of the truce,” the statement added, published shortly after Trump announced the truce had come into effect. | BGNES
