Singer Rihanna expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her fans 20 years after releasing her debut album.
The hit artist released "Music of the Sun" on August 29, 2025, and recalled the journey that began when she left her native Barbados at the age of 16 to pursue her dream of becoming a global star.
"Twenty years ago, I left my country, my culture, my food, and my family to embark on a journey that began with the release of my first music album!" she began her long post on social media.
Rihanna shared a montage of moments that defined her career—from chart-topping hits to fashion achievements—showing how she transformed from a music star to a billionaire with her fashion and cosmetics empire, Fenty.
"So many of you have been a part of my life and career from the very beginning, and some of you have joined the adventure along the way. I am forever grateful to all of you. Each and every one of you has played a very important role in where this journey has taken me so far! I just wanted to take this moment to thank you all!" the singer wrote.
In honor of her extremely loyal fans, Navy, Rihanna continued: "20 years with the most loyal, most faithful fans who never leave me. Twenty years of hard work and hard-working teams around me, twenty years of lessons, twenty years of unforgettable experiences and achievements, twenty years in which my family was my greatest support."
She also gave special thanks to the people in the industry who believed in her before it became "trendy."
