Prince Harry said he would "like reconciliation" with the royal family in an emotional interview with BBC, in which he said he was "broken" by the loss of the court case over his security in the United Kingdom.
The Duke of Sussex said that King Charles III has not spoken to him "because of these things with the security," but that he does not want to fight anymore and does not know how much time his father, who has been diagnosed with cancer, has left.
The British prince lost his appeal over the level of security he and his family are entitled to while in the United Kingdom.
"I cannot imagine a world where I would return my wife and children to the United Kingdom at this moment," he said after the defeat. Prince Harry said he had many disagreements with his family but has now forgiven them. He described his loss in court as "an old-fashioned intrigue of the elite" and accused the royal household of influencing the decision to reduce his security.
When asked if he had asked the king to intervene in the dispute, the Duke of Sussex replied: "I never asked him to intervene — I asked him to step back and let the experts do their job."
The prince said that the treatment he received during the decision-making process regarding his security had "revealed the worst fears." | BGNES
