Sophie Turner has expressed her support for ex-husband Joe Jonas following the release of his new album. The 29-year-old actress has daughters Willa, four, and Delphine, two, by Joe. Sophie took to social media to show her support for the pop star, who has just released his first solo album since divorce, Music for People Who Believe in Love, Bang Premier reports.
Joe's new album shows his new reality after his noisy split with Sophie.
And the chart-topping popstar - who was married to the actress between 2019 and 2024 - previously explained why he chose to discuss their relationship on the album.
In 2024, he told Billboard, "It was scary at times, but also liberating. I'm not trying to put things on display on this album."
Joe turns to songwriting as an "outlet" amid the problems in his personal life.
"I was going through a lot of changes in my life, discovering who I was as a person, a father and a friend and living under the microscope of the music industry. And I think it was at such a crazy time in my life that I sought an outlet in music," the pop star recounted.
Over the past decade, Joe has had his fair share of ups and downs. However, he has no interest in trying to settle scores with anyone.
"I'm not trying to pick on anybody on this album. I'm not trying to expose things. I have a wonderful life that I'm grateful for," he said.
Sophie and Joe announced their separation via a joint statement back in September 2023.
Back then, the actress and the popstar explained that they had decided to "amicably end" their marriage.
The statement read, "After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to end it. There have been many speculative accounts as to the reasons, but truly this is a unanimous decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our desire for privacy for us and our children." | BGNES
