According to a model developed by Stanford University scientists, this potentially deadly virus could infect millions of people if immunization rates drop by 10% and re-establish itself within 25 years at current vaccination rates. US authorities, led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Secretary of Health and Human Services and a long-time vaccine sceptic, have been criticised for their response to the ongoing measles outbreak in Texas.
