More than a thousand buildings were slightly damaged after Wednesday's earthquake in Istanbul, Turkey's Minister of Urbanization and Environment Murat said.
"According to the results of the damage assessment, 15,013 buildings in 39 districts of Istanbul have been inspected, of which 1,025 are slightly damaged and over 12,300 are undamaged," Kurum said on social media.
The damage assessment is continuing, the minister noted. He did not specify the condition of about 1,500 buildings.
Most reports of damage from citizens came from densely populated neighborhoods in the western part of the city - Bahçelievler and Esenler. Earlier, authorities reported one collapsed abandoned building in the Fatih neighborhood, with no injuries.
