Alexander Vezenkov led Olympiacos to its first win in the Euroleague playoffs. The winger was a key contributor to his team's 84:72 home win over Real Madrid in the quarter-final series of the strongest club competition on the Old Continent.
The Bulgarian showed who should have been chosen as the most valuable player in the regular season and finished with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals in 27 minutes on the court. In his shooting, the winger was 5/7 from mid-range, 3/4 from the three-pointer and 4/6 from the free throw line.
However, Kendrick Nunn was preferred instead of Vezenkov in the MVP voting. However, the American did not impress in the champion Panathinaikos' 87:83 hard-fought victory over Anadolu Efes.
