The Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup for the second year in a row. The Edmonton Oilers fell victim to the Panthers again, with the difference that this time Florida won in six games, while in 2024 it happened in seven.

Game 6 of the Finals was won by them 5-1. 357 days after the Panthers' decisive victory for the previous Stanley Cup.

The evening belonged to Sam Reinhart. The 29-year-old Canadian scored four of the five goals in the opponent's net, becoming the first hockey player with seven goals in the Stanley Cup Finals since the legend Wayne Gretzky 40 years ago. Matthew Tkachuk scored the fifth goal, and Vasily Podkolzin was on targer for Edmonton with less than five minutes left in the game.

Florida's Sam Bennett was named MVP of the playoffs after scoring 15 goals and totaling 22 points.
