Manchester United host Arsenal in the derby of the first round of the new 2025/26 season in the English Premier League.
The Red Devils begin their first full season under manager Ruben Amorim on August 17, when one of the favorites for the title Arsenal will arrive at Old Trafford. United also have matches with local rivals City and Chelsea in their opening five matches. For their part, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal have a tough schedule in their first six matches - in addition to Manchester United, the team must play Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and Newcastle.
Champions Liverpool will kick off the campaign with a home game against Bournemouth on August 15.
A revamped Manchester City team travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers a day later, while Conference League champions Chelsea host Crystal Palace, who won the FA Cup last season.
Newcomers Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland have also learned their opponents in the first round. Leeds and Sunderland host Everton and West Ham respectively, while Burnley visit Europa League champions Tottenham, who will make their debut under Thomas Frank.
There are no fixtures scheduled for Boxing Day, but the Premier League has said that the matches on 27 December are ready to be moved to Boxing Day.
The season ends May 24, 2026.
