Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71, media outlets across the ocean have reported.
Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, was found dead at his home in Clearwater, Florida this morning.
According to TMZ, emergency responders responded to the scene after receiving a call of a "cardiac arrest". Paramedics and a police patrol car were parked outside Hogan's home Thursday morning. Hogan was taken from his home on a stretcher and put in an ambulance.
The cause of the wrestling icon's death has not yet been officially announced. Hogan's deteriorating health has been known for some time, including rumors that he was on his "deathbed" and in a coma. However, his wife Sky quickly denied the reports, saying that her husband's heart was "strong" and he was recovering from neck surgery.
Hogan rose to fame for his wrestling career, becoming a multiple-time champion and helping to fuel the entertainment industry's explosive growth in the 1980s and 1990s. He was also one of the first wrestlers to make it to Hollywood, with his first major film appearance coming in the third installment of the "Rocky" franchise in 1982. | BGNES
