Model Kendall Jenner plans to quit her life in the spotlight and focus on designing houses.
The 29-year-old Kendall rose to fame as a child on her family's reality show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" before launching her modeling career, and now combines her work on the catwalk with appearing on their latest show, "The Kardashians." However, she is adamant that she plans to retire from the entertainment industry because she prefers "the simple life."
"I swear to God, I'm going to quit everything and just do house design. I'm not kidding. I love my space in Los Angeles, but I also love the simple life. I like to wake up every morning, put on a swimsuit or sweatpants, no makeup, and just enjoy my day. I think a lot about the future, but I try not to plan too much because, as you know, I'm a person who likes to plan," Jenner told Vogue magazine.
In a joint interview with her friend Gigi Hadid, Kendall revealed that she is currently building a new house outside Los Angeles, and Gigi admitted that her friend is "one of the few people I would let design a house for me."
Despite growing up in front of cameras, the model admits that her childhood always seemed "normal" to her.
Kendall made her first appearance on Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2007, but she believes that she and her younger sister Kylie Jenner were largely shielded from the spotlight during their childhood.
"We went to school. We went to school as long as we could. I started homeschooling in 11th and 12th grade. So even though we had a TV show at home, we went to school all day and had friends we knew before the show started. It wasn't always easy, but we felt normal," Kendall explained during her appearance on Emma Chamberlain's podcast "Anything Goes."
"Overall, I'm very grateful because I think it could have been a lot worse. I think the only thing Kylie and I had was a lot of stability, a lot of love, and really great support and really great friends. So we felt like we could get away from it all and be normal. We're also very grateful that we had older brothers and sisters who we saw doing things before us and kind of leading the way," she added. | BGNES
