Actress Mikey Madison is the new face of Dior.

The 26-year-old Oscar winner was appointed ambassador for the fashion house following the appointment of the brand's new creative director Jonathan Anderson, who will present his first women's collection for the brand during Paris Fashion Week next month.

Anderson revealed that he is "excited" to work with the star of Anora.

"Mikey Madison is an incredibly talented actress. Her empathetic approach perfectly reflects the spirit of the Dior fashion house, and I am extremely excited to work with her," he told WWD.

"Jonathan inspires me as a designer with the way he tells stories through his collections and with the playfulness and originality he brings to each collection. I am very proud to join the House of Dior as a global ambassador at the beginning of this new chapter under Jonathan's creative direction," said the actress.

"Mikey Madison becomes a Dior ambassador for Jonathan Anderson's collections. Her magnetic presence in Sean Baker's film "Anora," which won the Palme d'Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, allowed her strong charisma and quiet strength to shine far and wide. Earlier this year, Mikey wore a Dior dress to the Oscars when she won Best Actress for her role in Anora. In the film, she plays a Las Vegas stripper who marries the son of a Russian oligarch.

The actress admitted that she finds it "a little unnatural" to walk the red carpet in glamorous dresses because she is used to dressing comfortably.

"I started working with [stylist] Jamie Mizrahi, whom I really like and think really understands my sense of style, which has evolved significantly over the past two years. I started dressing only in very comfortable clothes — like jeans and a T-shirt or a cashmere sweater and cowboy boots. So it felt a little unnatural to wear a dress, and I said to myself, 'I don't know what I like and what I don't like. ' Now it's nice because I have a much better idea about it, and it's great to have some guidance," she told Vogue magazine. | BGNES
