Kimi Antonelli has written a new page in Formula 1 history. The 18-year-old Italian teenager made a sensational sprint qualifying before the Miami Grand Prix and will start first in the sprint tonight. The Mercedes driver is the youngest to have a pole position, albeit in a sprint.

Immediately behind Antonelli were the two McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Fourth was four-time world champion Max Verstappen, who announced the happy news that he had become a father for the first time.
