In the West, the Texans played a strong game and with a balanced attack they knocked down the Kings in their hall. Anthony Davis was a hair's breadth from a double-double - 27 points and 9 rebounds, and Klay Thompson finished with 23 points, on 5/7 from the three-point range. P.J. Washington and Brandon Williams each scored 17 points, and Dante Exum was helpful with 11.
For the Californians, DeMar DeRozan was the most productive with 33 points. Zach LaVine added 20, and Domantas Sabonis had 11 points and 13 rebounds. Devin Carter added 10 points off the bench, but the Kings' season is officially over.
Dallas, for its part, will meet the Memphis Grizzlies, who lost to the Golden State Warriors. The winner of the pair will be a rival to the leader in the Western Conference during the regular season, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In the East, the Miami Heat defeated the Chicago Bulls 109:90 on the road and guaranteed a clash with the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks lost to the Orlando Magic.
