Golden State kicked off their NBA playoff campaign with a surprising 95:85 road win over Houston in Game 1 of their series. The result raised eyebrows, as the Warriors entered the postseason as the 7th seed in the Western Conference, while the Rockets had finished second in the regular season standings.

Houston held a narrow three-point lead after the first quarter, but the Warriors took control in the second, going into halftime with a 47:34 advantage. They maintained their lead throughout the second half and didn’t allow a comeback.

Stephen Curry led the way for Golden State with 30 points, while Jimmy Butler added 25. Alperen Şengün was Houston’s top scorer with 26.
