Erdogan: Israel uses hunger as a weapon in Gaza

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sharply criticized Israel, accusing it of condemning the people of Gaza to starvation and using hunger as a weapon. He compared the footage from the Palestinian enclave to the horror of Nazi concentration camps.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has sharply criticized Israel, accusing it of condemning the people of Gaza to starvation and using hunger as a weapon. He compared the footage from the Palestinian enclave to the horror of Nazi concentration camps.

“Using hunger as a weapon, especially against Palestinians, is the clearest proof that Israel does not have a shred of humanity,” Erdogan told a news conference in Ankara.

“The footage from Gaza is far more cruel and inhumane than the ones we know from the Nazi camps. A people is being killed through hunger and thirst in front of the world’s eyes,” he added.
The World Food Programme (WFP), UNICEF and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) have warned that time is running out and that Gaza is “on the brink of a full-scale famine.”

Erdogan again called Israel a "terrorist state" and said it was subjecting "our brothers in Gaza to genocide." | BGNES
