The Catalans scored six goals at home.

Barcelona thrashed Valencia 6:0 at home in a match from the fourth round of the Spanish La Liga.

The Catalans took the lead after about half an hour of play when Fermin Lopez scored after an assist from Ferran Torres. After the break, the home team scored five more unanswered goals. Substitute Raphinha made it 2:0 in the 53rd minute and three minutes later Lopez scored his second goal for the classic score. Raphiha was on target again to make it 4:0, before another two goals came from another of Hansi Flick's reserves - Robert Lewandowski, who scored in the 76th and 86th minutes.

Barca are in second place with 10 points, two behind leaders Real Madrid, who are the only ones without a mistake since the start of the season. Valencia are in 15th place with four points.

In the next round, the Valencia hosts Athletic Bilbao, while the Catalans first visit Newcastle in the Champions League, and then welcome Getafe at home. | BGNES
