Manchester City's star signing Gianluigi Donnarumma is looking forward to making his debut for his new team after signing from PSG on a five-year deal.
The Italian faces a debut at the weekend when the "citizens" host Manchester United on Sunday. City are 13th in the standings with three points after three games. Donnarumma admitted he was excited to play in the best league and spoke flatteringly about his new team's performance.
"This is a new chapter in my life and career. Playing in the Premier League for Manchester City is a great emotion and I'm ready for this challenge. I think for a player, a transfer to the Premier League is the maximum in his career, so I'm really happy to be here. I'm ready to go out on the pitch for this club that has tried to attract me for so long and I hope I can justify their trust.
This is a club that has always fascinated me. I've always enjoyed watching City. I see everything around me, like the training ground and the stadium, they are fantastic. You can't really judge what the values of the club are until you see it with your own eyes. I'm proud to be here and happy with the choice I made. I hope to make history here and win as many trophies as possible - that's my goal," Donnarumma told Manchester City's club media. |BGNES
