PSG management officially confirmed the bad fate of offensive players Ousmane Dembele and Désiré Doué. The two players suffered injuries in the French national team's 2-0 victory over Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier played in Poland on Friday. Doue was replaced by Dembele at half-time, but the Ballon d'Or favorite left the field limping.
"Ousmane Dembele suffered a serious injury to his right hamstring. He is expected to be out for about six weeks. Also, Désiré Doué suffered an injury - a strain in his right calf and will be out for about four weeks," the French team explained.
Paris Saint-Germain will host Lens in their next Ligue 1 match on September 14, and three days later will begin the defense of their Champions League title with a match against Atalanta. Both players are expected to miss the derby with Barcelona due to the recovery period.
