Kelly Osbourne after the death of her father Ozzy: I lost the best friend I ever had

Kelly is the second daughter of Ozzy and Sharon’s marriage and the youngest of his three daughters.

Kelly Osbourne, known to millions from the MTV reality show The Osbournes, shared a heartbreaking message following the death of her father — legendary rock musician Ozzy Osbourne, Page Six reported.

In an emotional post on her Instagram Stories, the 40-year-old reality star wrote: “I feel miserable. I’m so sad,” accompanied by a broken heart emoji. She also quoted lyrics from the Black Sabbath song “Changes,” which she performed as a duet with Ozzy in 2003: “I lost the best friend I ever had.”

The song “Changes,” written by Ozzy and the other members of Black Sabbath, was first released in 1972. More than three decades later, father and daughter recorded a joint version with revised lyrics. The death of the legendary musician occurred at the age of 76, his family confirmed.

“It is with sadness beyond words that we announce our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning,” read the official statement. “He was surrounded by his family and love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis.”

Kelly, who is engaged to musician Sid Wilson, experienced an emotional moment when her father performed his farewell concert with Black Sabbath on July 5. She posted photos and videos from the event, writing: “My dad got his moment in the spotlight! He got to say ‘thank you’ and ‘goodbye’ in the most beautiful way!”

Previously, Kelly had to refute rumors and fake AI-generated videos claiming Ozzy was in his final days. In her Instagram Stories, she said: “There’s a video going around on social media supposedly of my dad, but it’s actually made with artificial intelligence. It sounds like his voice, but starts with the line: ‘I don’t need a doctor to tell me I’m going to die. I know it.’ What the hell is wrong with you? Why would you create such a video?”

She emphasized that although Ozzy suffers from Parkinson’s disease and has limited mobility, he was not dying and that such speculation was harmful. “Stop writing articles or posts about some supposed suicide pact between my parents,” she added. “That was nonsense my mom once said to get attention. My dad is not dying. Stop it.”

Sharon Osbourne, 72, revealed this alleged pact on The Osbournes podcast in October 2023, when she shared that she and Ozzy had considered euthanasia in Switzerland through the Dignitas organization. “I don’t want it to hurt. Mental suffering is painful enough without the physical. And if you have both — goodbye,” she said at the time.

Kelly is the second daughter of Ozzy and Sharon’s marriage and the youngest of his three daughters. Along with her brother Jack and their parents, she appeared on the cult reality show from 2002 to 2005, while her sister Aimee chose not to participate.

Kelly also has three half-siblings from Ozzy’s previous marriage to Thelma Riley — Jessica and Louis Osbourne, and Elliot Kingsley, whom Ozzy adopted. | BGNES
