Kim Kardashian took to the runway during Balenciaga’s Fall 2025 haute couture show in Paris, dressed in a look inspired by her icon and longtime obsession — Elizabeth Taylor, Page Six reported.

The star added sparkle to her ensemble with several striking necklaces and the famous diamond earrings once worn by the legendary Hollywood actress.

Jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz — a close friend of the Kardashian family and a longtime trusted collaborator of Elizabeth Taylor — partnered with the fashion house for creative director Demna Gvasalia’s final collection.

Schwartz purchased the Mike Todd Diamond Pendant Earrings at auction, with a 2011 Christie’s listing revealing a remarkable final price of $374,500.

To complete Kardashian’s runway look, Schwartz also created two additional necklaces featuring approximately 250 carats of diamonds.

Taylor, renowned for her unmatched jewelry collection, received the chandelier-style earrings as a gift from her husband Mike Todd in 1957. They became one of her favorite pieces, which the actress wore for decades.

Kardashian also paid tribute to her idol through her outfit: she appeared in a nude-toned, body-hugging slip dress with lace detailing, inspired by the white dress Taylor wore in the 1958 film Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The gown was complemented by a fur coat and pumps in the same neutral shade.

Kardashian’s admiration for Taylor spans years. In 2011, the reality star interviewed the actress for Harper’s Bazaar — Taylor’s final media interview before her death later that year.

“I was always drawn to Elizabeth Taylor,” Kardashian said in an interview with the BBC last year. She also spoke about their planned meeting: “We were supposed to have tea at her house, but she fell ill.” The two ultimately spoke at length over the phone. “We talked about fighting for people. She understood her power and her beauty,” Kardashian recalled.

Kardashian also shares a close relationship with Demna Gvasalia, who presented his final collection for Balenciaga before officially assuming the role of creative director at Gucci. She was named a Balenciaga ambassador in January 2024. Kardashian previously walked for the fashion house in 2022 and famously wore one of Demna’s faceless designs to the 2021 Met Gala.

In the Fall 2025 collection, she also debuted a T-shirt adorned with photos of herself.

Before stepping onto the runway, Kardashian turned heads on the streets of Paris, wearing a neon pink dress and Balenciaga’s signature pantaboots.

Among the audience witnessing Kardashian’s Liz Taylor-inspired moment were Lauren Sánchez — recently married to Jeff Bezos — as well as Lorde, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts with her daughter Kai, and others. |BGNES
