Actress and singer Selena Gomez reflects on the "most beautiful year" of her life as she prepares to celebrate her 33rd birthday.
The star will mark her big day today, July 22. Selena reflected on the eventful 12 months during which she got engaged to music producer Benny Blanco and began planning their wedding. She emphasized that she is grateful for the "incredible journey" that has brought her to this point and that she is "filled with excitement and hope" for the future.
"As I prepare to celebrate my 33rd birthday, I can't help but reflect on the incredible journey that has brought me here. This past year has truly been the most beautiful year of my life, and I owe so much to all of you. Thank you for your unwavering love and kindness. Whether you supported me from the sidelines, shared my ups and downs, or simply listened to me, you made this year unforgettable. I am deeply grateful and insanely thankful for all your love," Gomez wrote in an Instagram post.
"As the new year approaches, I am filled with excitement and hope for what lies ahead. I look forward to sharing more moments with all of you, creating new memories, and continuing this wonderful journey together. I love you all endlessly," she added.
Selena and Benny got engaged in December after more than a year of dating, but the music producer recently admitted that they haven't had time to start planning their big day yet.
However, he revealed that the couple hopes to take some time off in the summer to start preparing for the wedding.
"Honestly, I really want to take a little break. I work so much. I realized that I haven't had much free time in a long time and I just want to lie in bed and forget what day it is because we're in bed watching stuff," Blanco said on Jake Shane's "Therapuss" podcast.
When asked if they had started planning the wedding, he replied: "Not yet, that's why we both need to relax. We both work so much. We both work on so many things that we haven't even had time to get started on it, but we're so excited. I think this summer we'll sit down and say, 'Okay, what are we going to do?'" | BGNES
