Tadej Pogačar triumphs again at the Tour de France - now second in history

The popular cyclist continues to write history

The popular Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar prevailed in the 112th edition of the Tour de France. For the legend, this is the fourth success in France after 2020, 2021 and last year. Thus, he is already in second place in the all-time ranking.

The ace of the UAE Team Emirates finally secured his triumph in the middle of this year's Tour, when he took two consecutive mountain stage victories - the 13th stage to the Otakam ski resort and the time trial the next day. Before that, he also triumphed in the 3rd and 7th hilly sections. Within five years, the Slovenian has won 25 stages, and in 2025 there are four successes.

In recent days, Pogačar had a comfortable lead of 4:24 min. ahead of his most serious rival - Jonas Vingegaard (Dan). The Slovenian entered today's last, flat 21st stage with this lead and had no problems maintaining it.

With the yellow jersey, Pogačar tied for second place in the number of victories with Briton Sir Chris Froome, who was No. 1 in the "Tour de France" in 2013, 2015-17. Only four have more victories (5) - Jacques Anquetil (Fr, 1957, 1961-64), Eddy Merckx (Bel, 1969-74), Bernard Hinault (Fr, 1978-79, 1981-82, 1985) and Miguel Indurain (Esp, 1991-95). |BGNES
