Turkish authorities apprehend 102 illegal migrants in Izmir province

The teams apprehended 30 illegal migrants, including 2 children, on the boat, TRT Haber reported.

102 illegal migrants and 1 suspected trafficker were apprehended in the Seferihisar, Dikili and Cesme districts of Izmir province (Turkey). According to a statement on the website of the Security Command, a rubber boat carrying a group of irregular migrants was stopped off the coast of the Seferihisar district.

The teams apprehended 30 illegal migrants, including 2 children, on the boat, TRT Haber reported.

The teams, which were sent after receiving information about illegal migrants in a rubber boat off the coast of the Dikili district, apprehended 21 migrants, including 2 children.

41 migrants, including 3 children, were found in a rubber boat off the coast of the Cesme district and were taken out of the boat by coast guard teams.

In a land operation in the Cesme region, the Organized Crime and Law Enforcement Support Teams captured 10 migrants and 1 suspected migrant smuggler.

After the procedures were completed, the irregular migrants were sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration. | BGNES
